Select the Start button, and then select Settings Personalization Themes. Under Themes Related Settings, select Desktop icon settings. Choose the icons you would like to have on your desktop, then select Apply and OK. Note: If you are in tablet mode, you may not be. Diswy: show and hide desktop icons with a single click. If you want a decluttered desktop in a single click, or if you are planning to use many of the tools mentioned above, you will appreciate the ability to hide and show desktop icons quickly (without having to right click and check/uncheck ‘show desktop icons’). Rebuild The Icon Cache For Your Computer. Your computer uses the icon cache file to display icons on your desktop. If there’s an issue with this file, it can cause your desktop icons to disappear. Fortunately, you can rebuild this cache file by following a few steps on your computer. Use the Start Menu to search for and open File Explorer. Enable desktop icons. A lot of people like to put items on the desktop but they do not like looking at the mess. Windows 10 has an option to hide desktop icons which, if enabled, may be the reason you don’t see any icons on the desktop. Go to your desktop. Right-click anywhere. From the context menu, select ViewShow desktop icons.
ToolBox v2.85

Participate in the ToolBox III PUBLIC BETA TRIAL!!! Click here for more info.
ToolBox is an application launcher for Windows operating systems with many amazing features. Easy to install, you can get going in minutes. Its drag & drop interface creates shortcuts to almost anything; applications, drives, folders, even simple files. ToolBox helps you organise your desktop and get rid of numerous shortcuts that clutter it and take up valuable space.
The first version of ToolBox was written many years ago as a 16-bit Windows 3.1 application using Borland Pascal. Since then many features have been added to it, in order to maximize its usefulness.
A fully portable application, ToolBox does not need installation. All you have to do is unzip the distribution files on a directory and run the executable. Upgrading your operating system does not affect it. Moving it to a different folder is never a problem. To uninstall you just delete the directory you created for the first run.
ToolBox is particularly useful for removable media (USB drives) or as an application launcher in read-only media (CD-ROM).
